Orion Industries has recently increased its manufacturing capacity with the addition of a Flow® Mach 200s waterjet .
This addition is their third Flow waterjet that they have on the production floor.
The Flow Mach 200s is a high-speed waterjet cutting system engineered for a wide range of versatile materials like rubber, foam, and insulation. The system supports four cutting heads simultaneously, enhancing its efficiency. Its design facilitates easy loading and unloading, making it ideal for high-volume applications. Its high-pressure MotoJet™ intensifier pump delivers continuous operating pressures at 60,000 psi, ensuring efficient and reliable cutting performance . The Mach 200s delivers high-performance cutting for both simple and intricate designs.
Orion Industries offers advanced waterjet cutting capabilities, delivering precision, efficiency, and versatility across a wide range of materials and applications. Utilizing high-pressure waterjet technology, Orion ensures clean, accurate cuts with minimal material waste, no heat-affected zones, and smooth edges. Our waterjet cutting services handle thin films, plastics, composites, and more in service of industries such as aerospace, automotive, electrical, and manufacturing.
Waterjets are capable of cutting a large array of materials. They are capable of cutting plastics and polymers such as acrylic, polycarbonate, PTFE Teflon, polyethylene and polyurethane. These materials cut cleanly without melting, chipping, or burning—perfect for waterjet precision. It is excellent at cutting closed-cell rubber, open-cell sponge, silicone rubber and neoprene which is excellent for gasket and seal applications, where tight tolerances and clean edges are needed. It is also suitable for thermal interface materials such as Gap-Pad and Sil-Pad which are cut without distortion or damage, making it ideal for prototyping and custom shapes. The waterjet is also capable of cutting films and insulation materials such as Kapton, Mylar, Nomex and other thermoplastics without tearing or warping the film. The waterjet is also suitable for foams such as urethane foams, polyester foams and filter foams and is able to make clean cuts without dust.
